Thank You for Someone to Watch Over

Having someone to watch over us is wonderful.

But having someone to watch over is better.

There is something about taking care of others that brings out the best in us.

There is a joy to be experienced in the tending to another.

This joy begins with our first doll, our first puppy or pet turtle. It is the root of developing into a compassionate, empathetic human being.

I can not imagine living without someone to watch over.

I think it’s interesting how, even people without children, find a way to express this with pets, or neighbors, or even sometimes, strangers.

  1. WOW!! Absolutely gorgeous collage! Bravo to you!
Great post! I’m one of those that if I don’t have someone–person or pet–to take care of, then I feel a bit useless! Give me someone to care for. That makes me happy.

  2. where were you when i was eating cookie dough and drinking a screwdriver for dinner? ACK!

  3. take care of yourself and you have no one to blame

  4. actually, i blame you, bob.
    just jokin’

  5. This is a beautiful collage, such interesting faces. Lucky for us? there are more than enough people and animals who need caring for.

  6. You are so right Lea! If has often brought out the best in me to have someone (or more than one) to watch over! I am grateful indeed!
