Thank You for the Nines
Winter is a time to reflect on our lives. Nine is the number that represents the ending of cycles.
So far, I have had five cycles of nines.
I am thankful for all the changes that can happen in a decade!

at thirty nine:
at forty nine:
In a month and a half I will start the next nine years to fifty nine.
I wonder what that will look like.
I wonder what I will be when I grow up.
You can bet I’ll be dressed to the nines!
Wow! You have that look that says “So, Life–I’m living it and loving it–what’re you going to do about it?!” ! You have gained character as the years go by. You look more ‘in charge’ of your life as the photos roll by.
I hope to look like that through the coming years (I’ll reach my 59th next year).

You get more bad-ass with each set of nine. I love it. I’d say 59 is going to be one hell of a picture. I can only hope my sets of nine follow in the same direction — always moving forward.
“Honor the past. Live the present. Create the future.” (Dalton Quistberg)
At nineteen you look 5!
The nines are the greatest.
We met a few years after that 19 photo. You were dressed in a light blue Oxford button-down collar shirt and khaki pants – nicely creased, as I recall. What has stayed the same throughout all the nines? Confidence. No matter what came your way, LeaKel, you have always confronted it with the knowledge that you would survive whatever was thrown in your direction. I admire your talent for making the nines look easy, particularly because I know what went into those years, and the making of your interminable aptitude for remaining thankful no matter what. Who woulda thunk?
How’s about that coffee now?
How cool is this photo journal you have shared with us! Thank you! Very cool! And the pics are really neat! I wonder what mine would look like… 🙂 Right on girl!!!
