Thank You for Old Shoes, New Shoes, and Uncomfortable Shoes
I have walked a lot of paths in my life.
I have walked in a lot of shoes in my life.
From Birkenstocks to spike heels, from doc martin boots to cowboy boots, from hiking shoes to converse high tops and all those shoes in between (including snow shoes in Northern Michigan).
Sometimes I walked a path or two in my bare feet.
They say you can tell a lot about a person by their shoes.
I say you can’t tell much about them if you don’t know where or why they have been wearing those shoes.
I think shoes are a great metaphor for destiny.
Do you Remember “Old Shoe” from the movie Wag the Dog?
It’s amazing how we can make heroes out of old shoes, huh?

Shoes are especially fun when you find them hidden away with other, ahem, toys, in a dirt basement when a water pipe breaks on Christmas Day…
;~)
I used to live next to San Francisco State, and the thing about college students is when a semester is over, espically if they are moving, they tend to throw EVERYTHING away.
Personally, Im a dumpster diver, and I was in need of a pair of shoes. I found an amazing pair of boots that I love and wear a lot. But they weren’t originally my shoes. So whose story are they telling really? Is someone looking at my boots and being told the tale of this wayward bootless person, or me? huh.
